Last Saturday was the first day of our March workshop on mask-work and puppetry at the RI dance studio. We focused on Act 1 of 'Far Away' and our first insert.

Aruna our Mask Designer was thinking about how to make the mechanisms work.... Then we made masks moulded on our cast member and participants' faces.
In the afternoon, we went on to look at our puppet for the insert. We explored our medium of fabric and how it could be used to portray different characters.
This Saturday, we will be continuing with the workshop, this time picking up from Act 2 of 'Far Away'.
